Holiday Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Planned in Patterson
The second annual Holiday Parade of festively decorated trucks and Tree Lighting will take place on
Saturday, December 13, beginning at 3:00 p.m. next to the Patterson Library on Route 311.
The afternoon kicks off with a 3pm holiday concert at the library, accompanied by a festive outdoor Holiday market featuring many vendors, food trucks, live petting animals, children’s activities, a cozy fire pit, and plenty of seasonal music.
At 4:45 p.m., the parade of decorated trucks, along with the Patterson Fire Dept., will begin at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Route 311, traveling to the Patterson Library. Around 5:30 p.m., Pastor David Frost of the Patterson Community Church will lead the dedication and lighting of a beautiful spruce tree donated by Petersen’s Patterson Greenhouses. And of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a
special appearance to make sure everyone behaves!
The U.S. Marines will also be on site collecting new, unwrapped toys for their annual Toys for Tots program. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation if they’re able.
This free community event is made possible through the efforts of volunteers from the Patterson Fire Department, Petersen’s Patterson Greenhouses, Lobster Hill Farm, Cartwright & Daughters Tent & Party Rentals, the Patterson Library, and the Town of Patterson.
